Some people presume that these doctors act as spies abroad, hence why they've been expelled from certain countries such as Bolivia and Brazil in the recent past. I guess some countries prefer not to take chances with this alleged charitable act from Cuba. Btw, we have plenty of Cuban doctors here, but these are doctors who've defected voluntarily from the island and have ended up in several countries across the region, including mine. They honestly aren't inherently better than local doctors tbf
