Any Diaspora miss their Homecountry?

I'm a Russian who grew up in America. I've visited Russia a lot of times, and I miss it. Now that I'm 18 I'm probably not gonna visit it for a long time now since I'll probably get drafted, and I know it's a depressive shithole but fuck do I miss it sometimes. Like, everyone speaks the language of my ancestors and the one I speak at home, and the buildings, the people and the smells all feel so familiar and comfy to me.
I know it's hard living in Russia, especially if it's not one of the big cities but fuck do I miss it and Love it. I for some reason even have less social anxiety when speaking to other Russians than Americans, even though I make occasional gramatical mistakes in Russian. Pretty much the only friends I had in High school were also Russian
Any other DIaspora feel like this sometimes? Like a blood-tie to their ancestors country?

Dang the US is depress

It's Slovenia on your picture. Commieblocks in russia doesn't look like this.

Yea, any Russian citizen is legally required by law to attend the Russian Military unless they're studying.

Why would it surprise you, you have mass shootings every other week, it's like a national sport. If corona did one good thing it's stopping Americans from shooting each other atleast for a moment.

I didn't have any commie block photo so I just searched it up on google. I know it's slovenia but it was close enough and I was to lazy to search for an image that didn't have watermarks

The commie blocks in all the CIS countries and the countries of the Balkan Peninsula look the same.

t. 1/256 Russian

The mass shooting aren't what make people depressed, more the local shootings and the hopelessness and the poorness.
Like for example if you get injured or a disease and don't have decent healthcare because American doesn't have Universal? You're fucked.
The US is a really gray and depressing place. They only show the good parts on TV and in Europe. I always laugh when Europeans talk about wanting to visit America, like it's such a depressive shithole at times comparable to Russia.

Not really desu, I feel like I’m a man without a country
where do you live Russian american user? Are there any Russian American communities in the US outside nyc?

Дa этo мнe чacтo гoвopят. Кoгдa в Poccии я Aмepикoc, тyт я Pyccкий. Пoмню мeня тyт дaжe "Укpaинcкoй Cyкoй" вo вpeмя дpaки нaзвaли лoл.

are there actually cases where people with russian citizenship who lives elsewhere have been forced to do it?

do you miss commieblocks?

>nyc
Jews are not Russian user

>MUH HERITAGE
Shut up fat

>poorness
But African americans are largely the poorest people in the nation and aren't nearly as depressed as White Americans for example

Teбя нe зaбepyт в apмию, пocкoлькy ты peзидeнт дpyгoй cтpaны. Зaбиpaют тoлькo тeх y кoгo нeт гpин-кapты\гpaждaнcтвa дpyгoгo гocyдapcтвa.

I think there might be, though I don't think the US police are gonna break down my door and send me to Russia but idk.
This summer my family un-registered me from the appartment in Russia where I was legally registered, so they don't have anyone to go to look for me now I guess.

I spent most of my time in Russia in a village that didn't have any real commie blocks. The most it had was a small area with a bunch of 2-story commie-block style buildings around a playground and garages.
Commie-blocks are somewhat comfy in their own way and right, especially if the owner is a nice Grandma who takes care of the house, with comfy couches, beds and rugs hanging on the Wall.
I remember one time I was sleeping in Moscow and I was just amazed how beautiful commie blocks look at night. I didn't sleep all night listening to the cars roar in the distance and occasional person wandering outside in the night.

>I know it's a depressive shithole but fuck do I miss it sometimes

It's not if you live in Moscow, in fact i'd pick Moscow over every single european city excpet may be for London or Berlin.

>White Americans
Lmao, go to poor ass rural places, especially ones that were once homes to now-failed industries.
White people living in trailers parks, etc. The only people that have it somewhat good are suburban rich-middle class whites, but that's it. Go anywhere rural and it's poor and depressing with meth addicts

Really user? Those two? Are you sure?

>and I know it's a depressive shithole
It's not faggot

Or St. Petersburg.
Btw the crime and murder rate in both Moscow and St. Petersburg is lower than in London and Paris.
Piter and Moscow is ok, but the rest of country you have to agree, is pretty fucked. People go 7 hours on a train to moscow from their shitty village just to work for a bit because everywhere else there are no jobs, and even if there are they don't pay shit.

how are usa and canada more depressed than eastern europe and central asia?

>over every single european city
You mean major cities? Smaller German cities with ~300,000 inhabitats are pretty comfy, all the good shit of cities but without the constant pride parages.

>300,000 inhabitats are pretty comfy

Germans are pretty toxic, especially those who live in such small cities. Without perfectly speaking their hohuntermittledeutsch dialect you won't be welcomed, at all.

i wasn't in London desu but Berlin was fun, sure if i was older i'd chose something more calm

Yeah yeah, this russians aren't ruaaians, they were fired from russians long ago.

I'd have to disagree, of course I was young at the time but I had a pretty good time when I lived in Germany in such a city. Of course we were pretty close to another German city with a million inhabitants (it was one hour away via
street-Tram), so that might have affected it a bit. Also East-Germany is quite different.

I live in Pennsylvania.
>Are there any Russian American communities in the US outside nyc?
There are a lot, but most of them function more like cliques, like there's no specific neighborhood but the Russians often chill with one another and often have parties together.

However, near where I live there is a very large community of Russian Baptists. They speak Russian, but are Baptists instead of Orthodox. Unfortunatley they mostly chill with themselves and not with other Russians.
