Hey again, lads. This is a quick continuation from where I'll post the rest of the charts suggested in the last thread. I will take more suggestions in this thread, but I won't stick around tonight. Instead I'll make a thread later this week with the charts from the suggestions in this thread. You can use this thread to repost some of the charts and discuss them.
Probably won't do all of the suggestions, especially if they're similar to what I did before. Just reply to the ones you find most interesting yourself and I'll be sure to do them. You can also make a search more accurate by listing synonyms and words to be excluded. You can try searching on desuarchive to figure out how things work. Among other things, it is also possible for me to search by an image, if you need that.
Here, by the way, are the total posts per country on Zig Forums. Also showing the rarest flags on Zig Forums.
Just to go a bit into the details, the program just searches the archive with the search phrase. This is done with the python Requests/BeautifulSoup modules, and is really rather simple. Shouldn't take much more than an online tutorial to set up something similar. The plots are charted with maplotlib, though it was quite finicky to use.
Anyways, I'll make another thread a later day with the suggestions here, and I can probably take some requests then as well. Happy that my coding practice can be of use
Can you do the opposite? Query for a country and get a list with the most often used words associated to it, maybe filtering out the more frequently used ones like "the" or "have"
