There's literally a video for every country on youtube called "being black in X country". All seem to follow the same thought process of they looked at me and it felt a bit racist. Is it just me or are they just so overly sensitive, Especially black people from the west.
It's like they want to be the norm everywhere and get offended when someone notices them when they aren't the norm for that country.
They're looking for vindication of racism, because they're getting none in the west.
Adrian Rodriguez
Nigga its staring, no one feels comfortable with that. You'd think full grown adults would know not to bloody stare holes everytime you walk past but they don't.
I mean thank allah real racist violence is becoming rarer but you still hear nasty stories on occasion.
Liam Sullivan
I really do be like that
Josiah Garcia
They're so self centered and act as if only they're noticed in non black countries but in reality if a white person goes to some place in India, mauritania, Cambodia for example you're likely to get stared at just as much.
Jackson Thomas
When a white person gets stared at its with shock and awe and perhaps even sexual attraction.
You just don't get it dude, not all attention is good attention
Noah Parker
Black have suffered discrimination, it's part of their history so every black/minority feels like his race is part of his personality. We can only hope that one day they start to act like whites and stop including race in their identity cause that's racist and cringe >Inb4 muh poltard Poltards are poltards outside of extremes the overwhelming majority of white people don't think being white is part of their identity
Wow call the stare police
Andrew Martinez
try going to the middle east if you're white, especially with a women.
those cunts have no shame even if you stare back at them
Eli Gonzalez
>act like whites user black get discriminated because of their race, the only way to get people to not associate it with their identity is for racism to not exist period And in that occasion would you preferd if they stopped? Why can't black people ask the same?
Leo Young
because if they think its bad in any European country they don't know shit
Julian Diaz
>And in that occasion would you preferd if they stopped? >Why can't black people ask the same? You're missing the point. It's not unique to black people is the point he's making, you can't stop looking different in a place where you aren't local no matter what race you are. It's only natural people are going to be interested in you.
Blake Taylor
When you believe you are oppressed and think everything in term of race then you start seeing racism where there is not. Typically it's not racist to stare I ve been stared at plenty of times in Asia it's curiosity not people who think whites are inferior. It just feels like acting like a trumblr feminist who sees rape everywhere even in stare it's ridiculous
Adrian Myers
Blacks stare down whites in black majority areas it’s literally the same thing, then they want to be treated differently.
John Howard
Why do we need to do opression olympics? Who cares if getting stared at is a guranteed death in bumfuck nowhere.
Nigga it might not be possible to get every country on the planet to perform bassic curtesy and to not stare at people like some kind of zoo exhibit but we can at the very least spread the message around.
>b-but blacks Then they should stop staring to.
This is teaching 101 "don't stare at strangers" how are so many people fucking this up
Ethan Gutierrez
Good luck at getting people not to notice anything different about anyone.
Every black person I've ever encountered in my life has some sort of body odor. It doesn't smell like the body odor on white people but there is an odor nonetheless
Jason Moore
Attention is attention, your response to it often determines whether it will be good or not. I mean it.
Levi Lee
they are professional victims
Chase Jones
So what, I'm white and got stared at in China, shit happens, get over it bitch
Parker Reyes
Are you aware that other countries have different cultures than the U.S and U.K? Including what is courteous and what is not?
Leo Diaz
You might be fine with it user but not everyone is. If the black community asks to not be stared at/followed around a shop etc etc then they have a right to be listend to.
You can notice that we are different that can't be helped just do not do STARE
I guess I have been incredibly anglo centric, tell me user If I were to take random photos of you walking by me, stopping everything I'm doing just to gawk at you, would you feel uncomfrotable?
Henry Smith
It seems to me to be a mostly African American thing. Both because of their social context in the USA and the fact that Americans in general don't travel abroad very much so we have some weird conceptions about what its like.
Mason Edwards
In East-Asian countries staring and even taking pictures is not seen as discourteous as is it in the West. And people might be staring at you for other reasons than your skin color, many anglo mannerisms are off putting in rest of Europe.
Daniel Martinez
>JUST DON'T STARE Is this even an argument? Obviously it's common sense and politeness but if you think you're going to stop a Chinese kid that's never seen a black person if their life from looking at you and getting excited you're self-centered. Look at it from a non western standpoint. The point is that this doesn't just happen with black people but black people like to think it only happens to them.
Yes! I had only heard good things about Sweden but it's absolutely DREADFULLY BOOOOOORING for a PoC. People are acting so fucking white it actually becomes more most funny thing after a while but then comes autumn and I totally understand how that period of darkness and pissy weather can crush the souls of the poor people grown up here. I basically can't wait to be home again. I miss going out having a blast and get to LAUGH again! If you think of coming here on exchange, think again. This stuff isn't something I could prepare for or imagine.
Cameron Miller
Thats fine if its a part of their culture but in your opinion If someone said "Please do not take pictures of me/I do not like x "
would you think the foreigner has no right to have their personal space respected? Is it okay for me to do somthing just because "its my culture"
>a kid bruv that literally nothing I just do not want a grown aas man stopping everything just to fucking rubber neck me and I really do not get whats so bad about saying that.
This goes beyond black people.
Jose Lopez
>I really do not get whats so bad about saying that. It's because you're missing the point entirely, obviously no one wants to be stared at.
Nathaniel Ross
>No one wants to be stared at then we are at agreement, what am I missing here?
Ethan Ortiz
You're missing the fact that not everywhere is a diverse paradise and it's stupid of you to expect people not to be surprised or excited if they someone that looks different from them, i can guarantee you that if you were some guy that lived in Mauritania and saw some pale skinned, brightly colored haired person for the first time you'd stare. It might make some people uncomfortable to be stared at but don't act surprised if they do.
Easton Jenkins
Most of them are paranoid that the evil wh*ty will go after them, in reality whites are too pussy to do anything. Idk why black are so afraid of a people that are so intrinsically stupid that made balconing an actual thing.
Dylan Perry
I'm not expecting it to never happen (unless your first world), I'm not expecting every random country to not be suprised.
I just want the message to be spread as far as possible. "staring at strangers is not cool"
