Almost everything is learned from other people. You didn't come up with mathematics, you learned it from other people. You didn't come up with physics, you learn it from other people. Etc. People make studies to learn and then those empirical facts are given to other people as knowledge and education. That's how it works. If someone notices that something is wrong in someone elses study, knowledge etc. he/she has to prove WHY it is wrong. That's how those can be corrected.
