Little is known about the Lobanoff family. The only thing known about them is that they ran a dressmaking shop in Hiroshima 400m from ground zero. (98% death rate.)
The shop was operated by Paul Lobanoff, who defected from Russia to Hiroshima in 1917 in his opposition to the Russian Revolution.
The eldest son, Sergei Lobanoff, who escaped the atomic bombing because he was in Harbin Manchuria, reportedly told his friends, "My parents died in the atomic bombing of Hiroshima."
