for example everyone drinks alcohol a lot, people start drinking before even primary school and its 100% normal
nobody respects the law whatsoever in rural areas, its like law doesnt exist if cops arent there and even cops dont really obey it
nobody cares or understands politics, you can sometimes find people who dont even know who the leader of their country is
people generally tend to stick to long term relationships and dont go around sleeping with 50 people and being single in their 20s

i live in a small village (less than 100 people), closest large town is around 10k people miles away

I think the chief difference between rural America and rural Europe is the sparsity.
It seems like in America rural people live very far away from each other.
In Europe it's not really like that. Homes are always clustered so even a tiny village will have homes clustered together.
So you actually don't get that independence as you would in the US. Quite the opposite, you are more anonymous in big cities than in small villages.

This too. If anything if you try to live anonymously in a village here you will have to deal with shitloads of way too curious people. Where I lived you had the village core and the more remote houses, people living in the remote parts that weren't known around town were always considered very suspicious. A bit along the lines of
