idk i always thought of explosives based animal traps to be the cheapest and most efficient, if i went out with my rifle even if it was automatic rifle and i was in a helicopter not a car, i would spend all of my time controlling population and not getting anything else done

it is why you make sure it is 1) an apex predator and 2) overpopulating an area
because they are at the top of the food chain they are damaging the environment and there is nothing else left in an area but them

it is usually not cats that end up being this, but those large plant eaters who eat so much of the plants that they turn the area into like a desert, and them being large (wild boards etc) they fuck up everyone else and even trees, farmers livestock of sheep, goats, etc when you have like 100+ of them roaming around like golden horde
