Is Central America culturally/genetically closer to Mexico or are we more similar to Colombia, Venezuela and other South American countries?
Is Central America culturally/genetically closer to Mexico or are we more similar to Colombia...
You are North-America just like Mexico your closest cultural brothers are the USA and Europe.
Between Mexico and Colombia, Costa Rica is kinda similar to the later. But still way, way too different in general.
are you more like the monkey Islands of PR and DR where you ooga booga waddymelons and bananas and fling feces every where?
Si comes tortillas de maíz sos mas mexicano que colombitch
Guatemala, El Salvador and Honduras without its Atlantic coast are culturally closer to Mexico.
How so? I always see Colombians claiming that Costa Rica is a lost Colombian province and that we are genetically and culturally identical. I have also seen some Mexican anons claiming that we are very similar to Mexico...
Reclama tu herencia, hombre mexicano.
>Si comes tortillas de maíz sos mas mexicano que colombitch
Pero los Colombianos y Venezolanos tambien comen Arepas y tortillas de maiz?
Genetically it doesn't matter, we were colonies for Spain, and every country was more or less a different colonized tribe. To these tribes, there was as much influence from aztecs as japanese were influenced from China, which doesn't really mean a lot.
Culturally, Mexico is a whole different beast now. Central America has stayed more or less the same since its colonial times, oligarchs rule the farming masses who can't be bothered to industrialize or progress through artisanry.
We were Petri dishes to the CIA, you were the control culture (microbiologically speaking) so you assimilated more of your neighbor Colombia and developed better. This side got fucked more, so now Guatemala, Honduras and El Salvador are more similar to each other than you are to anyone else.
Who gives a shit?
¿Los Colombianos y Venezolanos comen tortillas de maíz?
>All those bakanized South American states
Spaniards fucked uo badly in ruling those places
>I always see Colombians claiming that Costa Rica is a lost Colombian province
Certain Colombians here on Zig Forums repeat that ad nauseam because they don't want to be perceived in such a bad light. Why do you think they never say Ecuador is a "little Colombia"? Remember that we beat them in every respect except healthcare (in which they're the best of LATAM, to be fair).
>Guatemala and El Salvador
Mexico
>everything else
Colombia, Caribbean
Im a quarter Guatemalan and the rest Salvadoran. We are closer to Mexico hands down. We don't have a caribbeanized culture like the rest if central america and we eat tortillas de maiz and venerate la virgen de guadalupe.
To the contrary, Central America, then called Capitany of Guatemala, was being held together by a very competent administrator loyal to Spain, the guy was an explorer who had attempted circunnavigating the world when he got recalled to this position. In 1812 Napoleon was fucking Spain bad, oportunists from Mexico started their independence movements and Central Americans tried to bandwagon with them, but this Captain dude wouldn't let them fuck around. After shit hit the fan in Spain, he was recalled because he would be more useful to King Ferdinand over there and some incompetent geezer took charge of Central America instead. The landlords convinced him to sign for independence and the absolute retard did it. All the political and administrative affairs were being run by the spaniards, so when they fucked off everything was left a disorganized mess and every province started to do their own thing. There really was never a union, and there wasn't any good reason to secede either.
You wouldn't be that disrespected if you became full friends with Mexico.
Think about it pal.
Lmao, you're a goddamn mutt. Stay there, chicano.
Wasn't most of Central America bar Panama a part of New Spain until the Mexican revolution and the secession of Central America after a referendum though
Should have remained part of Mexico, or picked bananas without chimping out
Quite the contrary. Americans don't really care about what happens in Colombia since 1994. They even paint Colombian Cartels in a good light in movies like Sicario.
>venerates virgen de guadalupe
>flag
Checks out.
We should have remained part of Spain. There was literally no point in becoming independent, other than landlords wouldn't pay taxes and the people would still be fucked.
Aren't Central Americans Protestant now?
>MUTT
my moms village in guatemala lies less than 50km from my dads in el salvador, somos la misma mierda
lol catholic pueblinos in el sal do venerate guadalupe, you're a citycuck atheist so you wouldn't know.
Yea, virreinatos were a stupid system.
>Protty centrakas
Dios mio, el ogre evangelico
Like half and half.
Or like the cuban monkeys who have to go to the poorest shithole in the hemisphere to find their needs?
They were all part of a federal republic following independence, the balkanization happened later.
What do Mexicans think about us ticos and Costa Rica? I think Mexico and Mexican anons are quite based. Are we honorary Mexicans?
You said that yourself. Your mom's. Your dad's. Not yours, goblino abominación. Have you looked at your flag? Look at the time, it's time for the shartmart anthem.
My point exactly
Spain fucked up badly by not fully creating provisions to ensure that separatists from various Captaincy generals that make up a Viceroyalty can gain enough power to secede nor give Landowners the excuse to declare independence
The Dominion System wouldn't have come about until 1910 so you're stuck with it
