Are private schools really seen as something only rich people send their children to in you country? There are so many of them, so that really can't be the case, surely.

>private schools
Burgeiouse-scum-thing. All people should be equall, and yes, that includes the right to get a free and good degree.

I went to a private school because my parents are rich assholes so I guess so. Everyone in my school was spoiled brats and we weren't allowed to leave the facilities without escort during school hours unless our parents or guardians signed off on it.

>can't even spell Bourgeoisie
this is why you were better off under the Tsar

Under the Tsar my great-great-great-grandfather was a fucking cordwainer, under the commies my grandfather was a molecular biologist any my grandmother was a child therapist. So no, we weren't.

At one of my schools there once was a large funeral at a nearby church for some member of a biker gang. On that day my school posted guards on the school roof, and had a swat van parked on the perimeter. This particular school only had one road leading to it, and was separated from that church by thick forest and a river.

All our private schools are either hippy, new-age programmes of catholic schools, so not really.
They are quite a bit more expensive though.

this i went to religous private school until 7th grade and everyone was taught we were better because we were selfless chatolicsand had the best grades in the country, witch is a fucking lie i imediatly failed the next year in a public school and most of the people i knew fro mthat school became conservacuck brainlets that go to private unis ie:unis you go to when you are dumb

Yes absolutely. Though rich people for some weird reason managed to claim schools within the public schooling system for themselves so they don't even need private schools. Every city has that gymnasium where only the richest kids end up despite being a public school.

depends on the school but mostly yes they are taking in to acount education here is free and of good quality you really have to have/want that kind of money for a private school
my folks shelled out almost 700 euros a month for me to go there when the minimum wage in portugal was around 400 to 500 euros

Even atheistic leftist politicians send their children to private schools in Spain; it's a no-brainer if you can afford it and do not want your children to attend school with undesirables and immigrants. Many private schools over here are managed by religious orders.

Here they're actually diploma mills where you can't fail even if you're braindead. Kek

Yes, many of them dont even necessarily offer better classes or whatever to choose from, just there for people to seem rich. a girl i know that went there says her high school cost almost double what her college did which is just crazy, she is just a teacher now

Why would public schooling mean you end up with undesirables and immigrants?
Shouldn't the neighborhood you live in, given you are not an undesirable yourself, dictate you won't end up with them in a school?

There exist policies in some states in this country to bus students from one district to another.

We had guards in our school as well, but they were just big dudes in expensive suits, pretty sure they were ex-military or similar.
If a student had to leave before the day ended, they would escort the student home or wherever they went because the school was still responsible for us until the day was over.
I got sick once, just before Christmas and my parents are always in Monaco during that month so this giant dude drove me home in a blizzard and didn't leave until I had gone inside our house and locked the doors.

public schools in spain are much better than the religious schools, especially because they don't gift grades
if you wanna avoid migrants and gypsies just go live in a neighbourdhood with few or none of them
only the few private shcools that are actually private are better

Even though it should technically be possible to do the same here, there are statistics such as how the average Dutch pupil in Amsterdam on average travels 5x further to his highschool than non-whites, indicating they almost all attend specifically selected schools whereas all the immigrants just go to the nearby one.
On top of that less than 10% of the schools there reflect the city's ethnic make-up within a very wide margin.

>all the immigrants just go to the nearby one.
dont they do this for everyone?
they do it here you go to one of the nearest schools , you even have to prove you live there

based and redpilled

Yes and no. Going to the nearby school is encouraged and expected but you can apply to different ones. Government isn't allowed to regulate which school your kid attends

Not really, and the majority of private schools in the Toronto region are worthless. I went to both private and public schools.

There are basically 2 schools where the super-rich elite kids go and another 2 schools for gifted kids. Everything else is available to middle-class people, and tons of naive immigrants send their kids to private schools thinking that some significant advantages exist.

The difference between private and public education is marginal. The staff quality depends on the school. The extracurricular activities depends on your school - some public schools have some phenomenal extracurricular programs.

Unlike the UK or the US, where the private school kids go to elite universities, we don't have such a stream in Canada. Our private and public school kids end up in the same schools.

Again, unless your kid is actually gifted or you're old money filthy rich and want to connect with other multi-millionaires, I think dropping $10-40K a year is retarded. Save the money, put it in an index stock, and help your kid through undergrad/professional schools instead.

In the Northeast private schools are extremely expensive and some are very exclusive
They are pretty useless nowadays. I went to a public high school and then a private college with a lot of rich private school kids. At the end of the day I ended up in the same place as someone who paid 60,000 for a year of high school

Yeah i also chosoe hwne i changed schools but i had to bullshit my adress for it

Originally yes, but since our education reforms in the 80s public education has tanked. These days private school tuition is within the reach of most middle class families finacially. I would say it is seen more as a class/social status thing than a financial one (considering that even working class boomers here are very well off - atleast intill recently).

If you live in a 800k+ home with a 35k+ car and claim to not be able to afford 5-10k a year for your childs tuition you should be seen as a retard. This speaks volumes about the typee of parent you are (a failure).

A friend of mine's parents somehow became rich as fuck after I met him and they moved to a really rich area. All the kids in his neighborhood went to a private highschool or a very selective public school.
The thing was that most weren't that smart. They had shit like dyslexia, generally just average IQ, etc but it was obvious the families wouldn't have it and wanted them to be perfect.

There are obviously different levels and prices. An ex I dated for a while went to a mid level private school; I saw her school text/ work books she had kept from high school, and in 1st year high school (aged 11) it was pretty much final year level (age 16) state school level, if not higher. Can't imagine what the top level schools are like.

I don't know how it would be done in your country, but at my own high school there were different tracks for classes based upon aptitude and GPA, from 1-4. With AP credits constituting the higher rung of pupil academic achievement. So people like that would be organized where they could be instructed most effectively.

They're already spending far more than the cost of that home on rearing their child over the course of their life to begin with.

why did eton get rid of their top hats while keeping the frock coats?

It's a middle class thing. Rich people send their kids to go study in the USA or something. The schools for rich people here cater mostly to rich expats.
On academic quality, public schools are absolutely shit. Most private schools are also shit, they're mostly for showing off than anything else. The other ones are okay at most. You'll get enough education to make it to (local) universities at least.

i'm much wealthier than your average pr*vate school kid

No, I went to a private school. Public schools are for poorfags or ruralfags.
