A girl I know works in the hospital and they have a little boy in her wing with some freak bacterial infection which makes his limbs die off.
Turns out it's the most basic type of vaccine there is given to literally anyone, and to top it all off the boy has a younger brother as well who hasn't been vaccinated either

I think it's the safety issue. The countries that actually SAW lives getting saved by vaccines are the ones that trust vaccines. Poor third world countries with tons of deaths, got vaccines, saw lives saved, saw less people dying, trust vaccines. Places where childhood vaccinations are common, places where you don't see people around you dying from preventable diseases, trust vaccines less "Nobody's dying, why should I trust vaccines?"
