I only want to learn a language so I can consume the media in that language, I don’t care about speaking with natives or whatever. Will it be easier than learning how to speak the language?
Yeah, it will be a lot easier. I can understand 90% of what I read or listen to in my TL, but actually using it myself is difficult.

That is the Krash method, you won't be able to write or say anything but you will understand. Study enough grammar so that you can translate sentences, and then just coonsume.

Spaniards will never really be part of the in-group, ofc you can still learn the language better but in the end it won't matter anyway.

>Mi ne volus esti homo, se nur ne reĝus la malsaĝa kredo, ke esti homo havas ian gravan signifon! >I wouldn't want to be a man, if only the foolish idea that being a man has some great meaning didn't reign Does this not make sense?
This is confusing me. Wouldn't it be more logical for someone to say "I wouldn't want to be a human unless the foolish belief would not reign that to be a human has some serious significance" or "I would want to be a human if only the foolish belief etc"?
Ehn, it makes enough sense either way to me. I'm not sure of the context though.

I meant it appears the similar languages interfere a little with each other. I've experienced a similar thing with Russian and Ukrainian, it hits very hard there since the langs are much closer.
