I’m too embarrassed.
We have so much earmarked away to update, but our logistics and Defense Minister are too stupid to use it!

Get a job in a company that does military contracts?
My company services pretty much all military branches in Russia: space, air, anti-air, navy, communications, armor.

military industry=gibs for right wingers

That's if you want to work for the gov't directly. If you want to work as a contractor you need to just used LinkedIn.

t. literally got emails from both Northrop and NASA yesterday for job stuff

help me understand, i thought entire attack or a series (such as a10) are obsolete now, even b series like b2 bomber are almost obsolete, recon aircraft too
fighter series like f35, f22 and f16 do everything except electronic/signals/radar aircraft like e8 and cargo and refueling series
who/where/when would you use an a10???
cant you just put gbu bombs on any f aircraft for all your ground attacking needs??

if i understand a10 design, it is supposed to be extremely simple and extremely cheap and extremely durable for massive cold war conventional warfare action on the eastern front with very high casualties expected.... which is just not gonna happen anywhere today
maybe in a massive world war against china? i dont know, its just extremely weird and obsolete

b2 isn't obsolete, b1 might be what you're referring to.
a10 is liked bc it is cheap as fuck to use, durable, and can loiter over a target for a long period of time. If you're fighting a modern military it would get fucked but we only blow up goat herders these days which it's great at.

but check , tell me why cant you specifically design a drone to do this job? also isnt a jet engine extremely inefficient design for this, considering a jet engine cant stop and is always wasting fuel? you would want a turboprop or any other propeller design.. sure it cant go supersonic but at least it saves fuel and what are goat fuckers gonna do about it anyway since they do not have any anti air capacity

>Preussen (Preußen in German and as written on the vessel) (PROY-sin) was a German steel-hulled, five-masted, ship-rigged sailing ship built in 1902 for the F. Laeisz shipping company and named after the German state and kingdom of Prussia. It was the world's only ship of this class with five masts carrying six square sails on each mast.
>Until the 2000 launch of Royal Clipper, a sail cruise liner, she was the only five-masted full-rigged ship ever built.

is this the equivalent of shoveling a gorillion boilers into warships?

yeah probably, but most ships of the time already used coal
I think it was built to please Wilhelm II who was fascinated with ships
>Story has it that Kaiser Wilhelm II, while visiting Potosi on 18 June 1899, asked Carl H. Laeisz when the five-masted full-rigged ship will finally "come". This inspired Laeisz to build the ship. The initial construction plans were found among the effects of Carl Ferdinand Laeisz, grandson of founder Ferdinand Laeisz and son of C. H. Laeisz, who died early at an age of 48 in 1900, even before his father Carl Heinrich Laeisz who died in 1901. The ship was subsequently ordered in November 1900.[1]

This is the most autistic ship I’ve ever seen

i guess this is the place to ask

is anti air the most important branch of the military today? i tried to understand a few latest wars such as kosovo war, gulf, syria etc, always and every time out of 1000+ military targets they always target anti air as a number one priority, more than signals/com bunkers, ammo/fuel dumps, command hqs, barracks, logistics/bridges, they always target anti air first
i also noticed a few special operations where they try to kill anti air commanders with snipers while they dont particularly care about much higher ranks of other branches that they could kill in yugoslavia for example

does modern war basically come down to eliminating anti air and establishing air superiority over a region, and after this is done the war is practically over because you just bomb and wait for surrender?

Pretty much. Aircraft are ridiculously strong. If AA didn’t exist it’d mean you couldn’t take down aircraft at all or touch them.

i tried finding modern military campaigns that assumed air parity or at least air denial but i couldnt, having total air supremacy seem to be a pre requisite to anything today, and anti air seem to be the most important branch of the military

I mean at least they look cool.

i also notice a trend towards missiles and drones and away from piloted aircraft
boeing, lockheed martin, northrop gruman and all these other companies dont have any next gen pieces without total pilotless mode.. i am wondering if the future will have pilots
but then again it is understandable that human body isnt designed for high g maneuvres

cute indeed
