The reason not only Greeks but Orthodox people are upset is because it was the seat of Orthodoxy and the Byzantine Empire. It holds a lot of important meaning, it also doesn't help that the city was almost retaken numerous times by the Orthodox Church again but britcucks and baguettes stopped it from happening
the crusades definitely weakened the city to a state where the turks could overtake it, the sacking of Constantinople is one of the most tragic events in Orthodox (even Christian) history.
