Yeah, even Marine Le Pen said the Portuguese were more demanding towards immigrants than ethnic French and had a soft spot for us. Either way, the Portuguese who moved to France were very poor and uneducated. They moved to France in droves in the 60's and 70's and they could barely read and obviously ended up doing menial jobs. I totally understand why you deemed us as gens des baraques, but that changes over time since our cultures aren't exactly extreme opposites. I can assure you that when they come here in the Summer they pretty much only speak French with a bit of Portuguese mixed in, hence why we call them ''avecs'' because they say ''Pão avec ___''
Either way, I hope they can come back so we don't have to import Africans or Brazilians. And you too. Not happening, though. Some move back whey they've retired.
