Ashkenazis have nothing to do with Slavs at all. They are ancient middle easterners who interbred with Southern Italians a thousand years ago and then migrated to East Europe and never mixed with the locals until the 20th century and only very little then. Still though Ashkenazis seem to be lighter pigmented than Italians on average. Might be due to the founder effect or living in a northern latitude. But Jews have no Slavic admixture at all

Yes because that's what the historical and genetic evidence shows. Jews mixing with Italians is historically documented and demonstrated in genetics. Jews mixing with Germans or Poles is unheard of until very recently and there's no genetic evidence for it. Just think of the average small town peasant's mentality in the 14th century. There is absolutely no way an intermarriage would be acceptable

Jews are Italian-Middle Eastern mutts and Southern Italians are already quasi middle eastern so they are not really that mutted.
