>Arabs are nomad warriors that battle regulary and eat a diet of fermented milk, cheese, butter, meat >They conquer from spain to the borders of china, they spread the number one religion in the world and btfo the byzantines, persians, caucasians, berbers, iranians, sogdians, turkics, chinese, indians, visigoths, iberians, franks, italians, subsaharan people
>Arabs adapt the sedentary city persian ways with a high sugar diet and grain diet and they only trade now >They got btfo of everyone in history and we never heard of them again
It's the story of every nomadic group. Hunter-gatherers are stronger per capita than sedentaries, but the sedentary life is appealing to enough of the nomadic elite that their culture gets subsumed by the sedentaries. Same reason the Mongol military prowess peaked with Subutai who grew up in the hardened Mongol lifestyle with Genghis and the boys.
Gabriel Lee
Hinduism is larger than islam
Jaxon Adams
this kind happened with romans evennif they are sedentarized, They fucking loved war and had a martial culture but as soon they losed their martial culture, they got btfo
Moral of this ? Never lose your martial culture or you will get btfo
Why are you proud of being conquered by syrian-saudis?
Christian Baker
Arabs got btfo by Franks, what are you talking about nigger
Xavier Cook
We actually have some records of a few Mongols and Arabs during the transition trying to fight the inevitable. Alas!
Michael Ortiz
you mean tours ? that was a recon squad and arabs still got to loot southern france as they wanted
Alexander Price
Arabs lived in cities before Muhammad. Medina and Mekkah were known to ancient Jewish scholars and Persian empires.
Easton Wilson
Those Arabs weren't the same guys who conquered Persia. Khalid wouldn't have lost to the Mongols.
Julian Sullivan
they took advantage of the eastern roman empire and the sassanids being completely exhausted by endless war their amies consisted mostly out of non-arabs as soon as things stabilized in the west and middle east, arabs got kicked around by everyone
the crusades werent even against arabs they were against turks
Adrian Williams
yeah but not as much after their expansion
Elijah Hughes
thats exactly what i explained in my post retard >Muh sassanids/byzantine exhausted war
shut up also before the sassanids/ byzantine wars Arabs had a lot of civil wars too
its amazing how do you cope that the two world superpowers (like usa and china of those days) got btfo by literal desert dwellers (like north korea of those day)
Jaxon Williams
This is true.
This is also true. OP is retarded. Arabs were also sedentary people who traded and lived in city centers - backwaters for sure for the time period but still. Yea there were plenty of nomads but they weren't nomads like the Mongols or Turks.
True, but also fair. All great empires form from the ashes of others. Regardless it’s an amazing feat to take on two of the worlds superpowers and destroy them - from a provincial backwater who never had that form of organization.
I think many groups of peoples get a ‘conquerer’ and great man every once in a while, and Muhammad was a great one. To create a world religion and do what he did he had to act like a paragon of virtue (for the time period, im not muslim just saying that people would not follow him unless he was on paper at least) and be a political unifier. Really an amazing man.
Josiah Bailey
>their amies consisted mostly out of non-arabs just not true
Jonathan Robinson
Battle of Tours halted arab conquest and Siege of Narbonne pushed them back behind the pyrenees. They held southwest of France for a couple years inbetween those battles but it wasn't even part of the frankish empire at the time
Austin Foster
Arabs didn't destroy the byzantines they just took the levant and Egypt which was barely defended.
Andrew Gutierrez
They were defended, look up the battles that happened to take those areas. Those areas weren’t unprofitable or shitholes at the time, lmao.
Wyatt Hughes
what a load of rubbish, plenty of ppl gave up their nomadic lifestyle and continued to prosper the turks kicked your sorry brown butt on horse and on foot, just like we did, saracen towelheads
Brayden Bailey
This Egypt was the breastbasket of the greeks and romans for over 800 years
Also the levant far more green than today
Mason Morris
They were not defended, byzantines forces were exhausted and used to protect anatolia from Persia which left levant and Egypt barely defended, the Muslims were defeated by the byzantines and that marked the end of north east expansion.
Eli Lee
Shut up balkanshit rapebaby Turks literally humiliated you from histoey but you continue to lick their boots like a slav(e)
Benjamin Ward
more like repelled a arab invasion, but didn't managed to really btfo them. Arabs remained as a powerful people, even in Europe itself
Sebastian Barnes
>they just took the levant and Egypt This was like half the Byzantine lands at the time. They had been part of Rome for centuries so they weren't newly acquired pieces of foreign land either.
Asher Roberts
>Khalid wouldn't have lost to the Mongols. le lol
Joseph Hill
>they just took the levant and Egypt This was like half the Byzantine lands at the time. They had been part of Rome for centuries so they weren't newly acquired pieces of foreign land either. Levant is a desert and outside byzantine frontiers, Egypt is too far away from Constantinople and anatolia was worth more than the entirety of Muslim lands.
Aiden Bennett
Yeah espcially hulagu who will get btfo
If you told me Subutai, i would say its either a draw or a hard victory for khalid Its not because you hate arabs that you mean to understimate one of the greatest general of history
Matthew Lewis
Arabs are great people, I'm proud to be one.
Jonathan Lee
Power levels go like this: Mamluks > second and third generation Mongols first-generation Mongols > Mamluks Khalid > all first generation Mongols except ones commanded by Subutai Khalid >= Subutai
Camden Powell
they repelled an invasion, pushed them back and than conquered part of their land in return
Adam Cruz
>and anatolia was worth more than the entirety of Muslim lands. I don't think you get how much value, monetary and otherwise, those lands had.
If you actually know anything about military history, you know that the Arabs had some of the most disorganised, poorly-trained armies to ever walk the earth. They were only ever successful because they relied on terrorism and scare tactics.
Brody Cooper
Wow Africa has really conquered a lot since then.
Nathan Allen
It's okay Theodore, losing to a man like Khalid at Yarmouk is nothing to be ashamed of.
