America literally controls world culture, people know all about America, their social issues, how their regions differ etc. That is why the US gets so much shit. Let's say I made a really funny thread about a region, or quirk of German culture. Most people wouldn't actually get it because most people don't really know anything about Germany except the superficial. Meanwhile I could make a joke about how the midwest has a meth problem and people would know roughly where that is and that area has lost jobs due to deindustrialisation and out sourcing etc. I saw a British youtuber once talking about British politics with another youtuber and he rightfully said 'Europeans always act like know they're knowledgeable about other cultures when all we know is how our own country works and how the US works' he was specifically referring to the political systems but the same goes for society, culture, geography etc.

Basically US won the cultural victory and so now you have to deal with Zig Forums making memes

the things said by americans about america pale in comparison to anything posted on this board, its really hard to get upset about burger jokes when your own countrymen make light of children dying and even that's preferable to slandering them as actors and agent provocateurs
