Compared to fresh milk UHT just doesn't cut it. If you have a latte or a flat white it won't froth the same and has this really odd aftertaste. It's very noticeable when you're used to fresh milk especially in coffee.

It really was like that for the first few weeks. I remember the day they announced the lockdowns, the entire sky was yellow and grey because sand blew over from the Sahara. Really looked like straight out of some apocalyptic movie.

It's hell. I'm stuck inside with nowhere to go and nothing to do except go to the shop every few days. My sleep schedule has totally reversed and I miss seeing my loved ones. I actually want to go back to my job right now. I was having fun practicing latte art. The government reimburse my employer to pay 80% of my average wages.
During the day people don't, they still go out and drink, hang about by the nice views. But all the cafes, restaurants, most shops, bars etc are all closed and it's really eery to go out when it's like that. On the weekends or if it's sunny there are still crowds.
Lots of brown people about still too. Of course the Police never stop them. But if I was caught trying to see my parents I'd get a fine.

It's nice when it's quiet. But Summer is crazy hectic, as well as most weekday mornings when the hordes of business stream out across the country.
Love getting Polish customers though and surprising them a little bit. They love seeing someone put a bit of effort in. Even if they're struggling to order a coffee and I ask if they want biala or czarna.
On a good day it's some of the most fun I've ever had. I get to eat for free when I fly away too.
And having a security pass also has it's benefits.
