Watching TV without ads might not be that big of a deal now streaming services are almost ubiquitous, but it's still a big plus for the BBC as I see it. The same goes for their radio productions, plus they have downloadable programming about basically everything; news from the African continent news, football, shite TV shows, mental health, whatever. Commercial radio makes me want to kill myself it's so awful, it doesn't even compare.

Whilst the BBC is shit, Fox and CNN are far far worse. With the BBC you get some good quality shows like documentries. Fox and CNN are genuinely terrible and the fact they are treated as news channles is a joke.
