How easy/hard is it to get a gun in your country, legally of course?
How easy/hard is it to get a gun in your country, legally of course?
pretty easy, just ask ahmed in the closest hood
I can get a rifle or shotgun from at Wal Mart between the home goods and hardware in less than 30 minutes.
Easy as fuck. Not America level but still easy.
Depends on the type of gun and state. A rifle in many areas would be easy to get, a hand gun harder.
just go to a gun store. we're allowed to keep guns in our car without permits in my state too.
impossible
20 euros
legal way is ez af
Pretty easy. You just go to a gun store and pick one up basically. Some shops do background checks first and require you to take a safety course but that is by no means universal. Even still anyone can go to a Gun Show and buy from personal sellers without issue
you have to undergo a physical/psychological test, a shooting course, and prove that you have a metal box in which the gun will stay
I think that’s it
Then why is gun ownership so low?
If it's so easy..
Do you have to provide a reason for the purchase or can you buy one as long as you pass the requirements?
>Then why is gun ownership so low?
Gun ownership in Sweden is Top 10 in the world.
Pretty much everyone I know owns a hunting weapon.
>Do you have to provide a reason
yes
Does a pellet gun count?
Sweden has a lot of both legal and illegal weapons. Both are easy to come by.
A semi-auto pistol takes some paperwork. For rifles and shotguns you need a hunting license or a shooting club membership.
uhhhhh... tensta?
Nope, Mora. I can go out right now and come back with a double barrel in 45 minutes.
>larping this hard
don't listen to these morons, this place is a daycare where the babybobos have to ask permissywissy from duh big gubberman for a noisemaker.
I live next to Malmö,so not hard
If I want legal I could just join a gun club
Yes? Are you mentally retarded or just trolling?
Even with a license requirement it's easy as hell.
Getting a hunting license and buying a rifle takes a few weeks here. Once you have the license you can buy guns whenever you feel like it.
Doesn't take any effort whatsoever.
why are swedes so delusional about their nanny state? Like do you really believe a system where you apply to big brother (whose taxing you at 45% effective so Jamal can send his fourth negro child to skola) for a license AFTER you joined the gun club for a million SEK per year and sucked their dicks AND THEN you have to have a "valid reason" for needing one in case papa Stefan decides you dont need one. Lmao. People here are insane.
Easier than most people think, the main difficulty is in the restrictions on what we can own
there isn't any "gun culture" and 85% of gun owners here are hunters
also what are you guys doing for midsommar? Wanna chill?
Go bait other threads you idiot.
>What are the basic requirements for applying for a license?
You must be 18 years of age and an EU citizen.
You must have been a member of a shooting association for at least 6 months, as well as trained shooting on at least 12 occasions (distributed on 2 occasions per month for 6 months).
You must meet the requirements for gun marks in gold.
You must hold the "Green Card" gun shooter card.
You will need weapons for target shooting, which the association certifies to the Police Authority.
You must be suitable to possess weapons and practice shooting. test against the criminal record.
The above applies to your first license which should be for a Group C weapon, ie .22 caliber. After another 6 months, the association can certify the need for coarser weapons.
lmao
>gun club for a million SEK per year
Ah yes, the HORRIBLE 600 kr per year. Dear god! It's almost half a tank of gas for my car!
From a .22 to Shotgun you need to give your ID, a proof that you don't have mental ilness and another that you aren't a felon.
It can take months, but if you live in the countryside, since the beginning of the year it became much easier.
Or you just get a hunting license (3 day course), take the shooting course, join a cheap hunting club, buy a gun safe and just like that. Done.
Go buy a rifle.
My first firearm when I was 18 was a .308.
Can you guys use guns for self defense?
I've heard that a lot of yuro countries allow you to own guns for hunting purposes but if you use them for self defense (for example, shooting a robber who broke into your house) then you can get arrested and go to jail.
It is easier an ar15 to "" hunt""
>waits six months for the glorius leader to tell him if he can have a baby pistol
don't forget to tell mister polis herr where you are going! dont want to ruffle any feathers!
I have 10 rifles back home. I bought them all at the local gun store with my right to bear arms. I'll keep my freedom though tack.
>pistol
I'm a hunter, not a hobby shooter. From the day I took my hunting license to the day I got my rifle it was about 1 month. And I was lazy as hell, could have gone at it much faster.
In the Netherlands you can't carry a gun for self-defense.
But you are allowed to use a gun for self-defense. But only in a proportional manner.
Unless you were so upset by the attack that you couldn't think straight. Then all forms of self-defense are allowed.
