Reading philosophy and theology is the only thing that has given my life purpose and contentment. I think familiarizing yourself with philosophy, the Greeks, Chinese, and the Church Fathers in particular isn't an eccentric hobby, but a life-saving endeavour. Reading Plato at 18 completely changed the way I look at the world. Philosophy and religious studies open a world of meaning you never would've thought possible.
