Would you ever move abroad? If so, where do you think you'd move?

I'd go to Kazakhstan

Latin America/Southern Europe

DRC

Mendoza, AR. Seems comfy

I'd like to move to South Korea, even though I know I'd be a nightmare for the first years. Plus, leaving my family behind? Eh, I couldn't do it, even if they paid me gazillions.

i was once passing through switzerland when i ran into an old friend in the train station, so instead of eating the baguette i had bought in Paris for lunch we went to a restaurant to catch up

he took me to a cheap-looking chain italian place called "The Spaghetti Factory" and I inwardly breathed a sigh of relief for my wallet because I didnt have a huge amount of money at the time.

I ordered one tiny bowl of spaghetti and it cost me €18. i wouldnt wish living in switzerland on my worst enemy.

I would like to move to Montana or Tennessee for a few years perhaps, I know some people up near the Rockies

Salaries are comensurate with the cost of living and taxes are low. I'd still probably rather live in England but there may be more jobs, and probably better salaries, in Switzerland.

You're retarded.
Don't you realize wages make up for it?

Of course it's still expensive, but different if you're actually working in Switzerland.

I already have.
Lived in Germany and Japan.
Now probably staying in Brazil for a while... maybe move to Vietnam for a couple of years.

To some shithole where the pussy is cheap

Where in Germany? I studied abroad in Marburg, Hessen.

Munich and Berlin for 3 years total.
Also spent a couple of months in Zurich.

In Japan I lived in Tokyo (1 year) and Yokohama (1 year as well). Corona fucked everything though so I have no idea when I'll be able to go back to Japan or Vietnam... so staying here for the coming months/years.

From Barcelona to Shanghai, maybe 5 years

But you're already in Brazil.

How'd you like Zürich? It's probably one of the more likely candidates if I go for Switzerland. Basel too.

I'm not a big fan of Switzerland anymore..
They are too "provincial" for my taste. City is fine but overpriced and small, kinda boring. It's safe and public transportation works just fine, good Unis if you're looking for a masters or whatever. Meh women IMO, Germany has better cities as a whole (cities, not towns). Then again I'm saying this because I like some "grit" and Germany offers that.

Not sure about job opportunities as my company at the time sent me there (from Germany), so I didn't actually have to look for a job while there. Swiss German is grating to the ears (imo) and I do think it's important to learn it if you plan to live there. Not sure what else to tell, overall I just got bored of it really fast.

I prefer Switzerland for places like Zermatt and Lauterbrunnen, not really for their cities.

fuck off we're full

Would rather Stay.
I'd probably go to Uruguay or Paraguay, because then I could just come back to Brasil when i felt like it.

Yeah I'd probably prefer London, but I still think it could be a nice opportunity to live in Europe.
You can't stop me.

Was is hard to get an apartment in Japan as a foreigner or did your company take care of it?

Don't make me

i want to move to finland. i like their language and the general autism there

Try it mountainboi

Company provided accommodation while in Tokyo.
In Yokohama I just rented an apartment from a place that also rents share house rooms.

Its called Oak House

and the process was rather easy.
Note : I was paying a premium, and the place was def not worth it for the price - however, it was fully furnished and I was able to rent it at short notice.

Noice. Sounds like a great experience.

I'm happy with staying in Australia, but I'd like to work in a foreign country for one or two years. My top two candidates would be Croatia and Spain.

Where in Spain would you most like to be?

I am really thinking about it and want to move to Europe. Legit thinking about somewhere like Austria, Slovenia or Switzerland.
How could a white American male in his 30s with experience in real estate move to Europe? I have a university degree but it's a humanities degree

Maybe get an MBA or something

Madrid most likely. I like the weather there and it seems the most organised of the cities. I'd base myself there and then travel to other places like the south and north coasts

Croat heritage? Because otherwise that seems super random.

Isle of Man

Is there any work there?

I've considered. My career plan is to transition from real estate agent to property developer.
Is there any market for that in those countries? Seems like the major big cites are where I'd have to go

I imagine you'd have to learn the language unless you're a big real estate investor yourself
