also i think the vostroyans could have been a soviet army but instead are jsut a band of 19th century russianh drunks.
he tried to war the emperor , the emeperor jsut had mega autism and decided no to tell his most psychicly powerfull son about the war and didnt even listen to magnus when he broke the webway.
not to mention sending lemman russ the notorious magnus hater to bring him to terra is just beyond stupid

The Imperium is utter shit, user. But that's the whole point, anyway. Everything in the 40K galaxy sucks tremendously

i do play some stuff that goes to digital. Spend quite a time for Soulstorm multiplayer with my bros.

i dont think the nids are capable of enjoyment same for the necrons.
the orks are in heaven since in far future there is only war and well that is what they want.
they tau live advanced lives with tecnology that actualy improved their lives.

its not , but its super niche , you play the board game or you heard about it and like the lore outside of those 2 is pretty unknown to most.

interesting , can you tell other pop sci were the good guys are bad the bad guys are worse eveything is shit and eveyone is miserable and unspeakable horrors are often preformed by all side? no you cant that is why 40k is unique in that aspect, yeah it can be extreamly goffy in places but its def not just a "pop sci" i did not see luke skywaker kill billions or be in a moraly grey he is always the good guy.
you can say what you want about the plot , but its not cookie cutter, in star war kill bad guy all is good an well. in 40k the only slavation is on life support, and there is no way to kill the ongoing threats just keep them at bay
