How different are portuguese and spanish?
How different are portuguese and spanish?
Other urls found in this thread:
Not much, maybe the spanish are more louder and party while we are more calm or introverted
How different are your languages? Would you be able to have a conversation with each other?
Yes, we understand the spanish and they understand us fine if we speak slowly. Do you understand the dutch?
Written in similar, but not totally intelligible. When spoken is very different. Portuguese sounds very slavic for a romance language.
>Portuguese sounds very slavic for a romance language.
yes lol
They are similar enough that one hardly bother to learn the other and vice versa. At first impression the differences seem to be significant but disappear quickly with very little exposition.
I found this interesting video recently:
youtube.com
>video
>2 south americans that think they speak portuguese or spanish
Portuguese: Slavic-sounding Spanish/Galician
Could OP be talking about that little dialect from a country that has less people than my city? He should have specified then, most people forget it exists.
idk OP mentions portuguese and spanish, you have nothing to do with both, so what are you even doing here?
Portuguese is not that slavic sounding
>reminder
Calm down, friend. We speak the same language either you like it or not. We just made it relevant.
why is it all portuguese people?
Jesus, no we don´t. portuguese is an european language. What the third world (brazil) speaks is some sort of creole with some portuguese words + amerindian and black i believe
>creole, amerindian, black
Besides names of dishes, some places and things related to african/amerindian culture there's not a single word I can remember that's not portuguese. Why are you so mad anyway? Chill.
riiiiiiggthh
Since P*rtugal was under of Arabs for more than 500 years we inherited a few common words from them. In fact there's more Arabic words than Indigenus/others combined.
reading this thread i assume i must be retarded, i have been to portugal twice and once to brazil and i don't understand anything of portuguese
What he is saying is that the br accent is not portuguese.
That's the point. it's some a bulk of meltingpot, that is not part of the portuguese language
What would make sense is brazilians have a: brazilian language. So there would be no mix between portuguese (european) and what they speak in south america
That would be based.
90% of the words of the portuguese language (european). Not what you speak in brazil, came directly from latin.
Then Portuguese has around 1000 words of Celtic origin, 600 of Germanic origin and 800 of Arabic origin. Spanish has 2000 words of Arabic origin. I haven't found information on the number of Celtic and Germanic words in Spanish.
>Portuguese are so mad that Brazil is more relevant than them that they deny we speak the same language
Talk about cope.
>t.brazilian thinks anyone here cares about any country in africa or south america, that on every portuguese thread here they come obsessed with us
>What he is saying is that the br accent is not portuguese.
>That's the point. it's some a bulk of meltingpot
Stop trying to call your lisp a language, João. An accent does not make it a different language.
>Thread about Portugal
>brazilians chimpout tsunami destroying it
Every single time
Where? The first Brazilian posts was helping the German out: and And then the tuga starts losing their shit: and Go suck a dick, faggot. For a so called civilized white Portuguese you are acting like a monkey.
>thread about Portugal
The thread is about portuguese and spanish language. Brazil speak Portuguese the same way Argentina speak Spanish.
No retard, the thread is:
>How different are portuguese and spanish?
Not languages.
And about languages you guys don´t speak portuguese as far as i know.
Galician/(((Spanish))).
>If we speak slowly
I'm galician and still can't understand your meme pronunciation
>Thread about Portugal and Spain
>BR flags come to spam
Like clockwork, all that's left are the Mexicans.
>t. host for the largest arab diaspora in the world
They are obsessed with us, it's beyond ridiculous.
Read this you fucking moron:
Because you are not used to it
Deixa lá, há que compensar o habitual complexo de inferioridade com um complexo de superioridade agora.
I guess not even mexicans are like this.
