Our laws regarding age and things like alcohol are retarded but they are changing slowly. The military has also been mulling over no combat jobs for anyone under 25 from Ive seen.

Yeah, you can enlist pretty old in the US. I think the cutoff for most branches is like 32. But I guess the idea was they did some study and wanted to make general combat more like ranger regiment and sf which is mostly people 25-30.

Handguns account for the large majority of gun murders. You're far more likely to be killed in a one on one or small group confrontation where someone has an easy to carry gun than in a mass shooting.
