Best ones are on the North. The regular ones are called Bajio, are more center/north and more calm (except Jalisco). Mexico city is shit, southerns states are really poor, dangerous and have almost nothing except Quintana Roo and maybe Yucatán but they're tourist traps.

- Highest HDI
Mexico City
Baja California Sur

- Highest HDI
Mexico City
Baja California Sur
Baja California
Nuevo León
Sonora

- Lowest HDI
Chiapas
Oaxaca
Guerrero

Veracruz

>boring desert and 50 year old cities is better than beautiful forests and culture
theres a reason no one says "wow we should visit sonora and sinaloa"

HDI isn't really a measure of how good (beautiful) a state is or even its quality of life.

Know what? Scratch that, I fucked up, best is Campeche
