Thanks for the link
>remember coming across 為悪い a while back and thinking how best to remember that it means "hard to do"
>tfw only now realizing after checking your link that it's literally just する and にくい put together

Right, so, my Japanese is shit, but I wanted to get a rough translation of pic related, so I needed a type set.
I ended up spending 40~ minutes trying to draw the kanji accurately in translation programs before I got this,
>うわ-最悪...
>蚊に刺されてんじゃん
>えっ
>何これ!?
>腕っ...腕がツ!!
>じゅブブブブッ!?
>ブプッ...ブ!?
Is this accurate?
As someone who hasn't graduated katakana let alone kanji, is it even remotely impressive I managed to typeset this?

>腕っ...腕がツ!!
should be
>腕っ...腕がッ!!

>As someone who hasn't graduated katakana let alone kanji, is it even remotely impressive I managed to typeset this?
well it doesn't do anything for your japanese ability, but good effort

How many words do you guys think natives know? I've heard estimates from 10,000 (definitely too low) to over 30,000

死亡確定

Is it worth learning Japanese, really?

No, come join us.

no, learn gaelic scots

better than spending your time playing vidya or similar time wasters, which is what most of us would probably do instead

Is there any deeper meaning in この with nouns? I`ve been re-watching Naruto and I see stuff like
>お前の敵はこの僕だ。
>お前はこの花見つけった。この僕はお前のこと見つけった。

Not really. I mostly use the little I`ve learned for Jap games as they become non-retard tier.

I've always assumed that この usage like that just emphasizes who. A nuance like
>お前の敵は僕だ。
Your enemy is me.
>お前の敵はこの僕だ。
Your enemy is this guy right here. (me)

Thanks, user. It makes sense. The one you mentioned was used twice in the Sasuke's retrieval arc in this very context:
>Shikamaru sets himself as the fighter so Naruto can catch up to Sasuke
>Lee taunts Kimimaru when he tries to stop Naruto

what do you think about the government's decision to change the criteria for establishing a state of emergency with regards to coronavirus

Whose government? Japan? Couldn't care less.

10k was certainly word families, or the low end of "able to read".
My guess is that an uneducated alcoholic manual worker can understand orally around 15k words, and someone educated who reads regularly knows 35k+.

Also depends how you count it, are "interest", "rates" and "interest rates" 2 or 3 words ?

Yes and it's fun and rewarding too. Also good for your gmo high fructose corn syrup based brain.

Reddit bad I know, but japancirclejerk is very entertaining and the only one I browse.

Though I’ve lost all respect for most morons moving to japan with no Japanese, and worse no transferable skills.

Very interesting, thank you!
>借字
Ah nice, you have the 借音 and the 借字 ^^
No clue then, sorry

How to learn Japanese:
1.Don't waste time and money on garbage methods like:
-All textbooks like Genki, Kodansha, RTK etc.
-All mnemonics like KLCC, Kanji Damage, Koohii etc.
-All online courses like Wanikani, Duolingo, Bunpro etc.
-All language schools, classrooms etc.
-Shitty youtube advice channels, awful anki decks(only 2k/6k and yomichan mining deck are good)
-JLPT, Kanji Kentei tests etc.
-Too long grammar guides like Imabi, DOJG (you should only check these once in a while instead of reading them daily)
-Pitch accent(doesn't actually exist, you can say words however the fuck you want)
-Learning how to write on paper (if you really want to waste time on this do it later once you know the basics)
Avoiding these beginner traps will cut down your learning time considerably to less than 5 years if you git gud and never give up
2.Spend a few days getting familiar with hiragana and katakana
3.A few months of Anki 6k vocabulary and Tae Kim grammar guide while reading something easy on the side
4.A few years of reading, watching, googling shit you don't know and you're done!
5.Realize there's always more to learn and the ride never ends

what does 素早く回復した mean here? I'm not sure if it's beyond the scope of the context given, but I can't really think of how she "recovered" outside of it. Is it possibly referring to how she recovered from the guy's comment immediately before?

FAST HEAL

In the first place, is that conversation between Mamiya-kun and "me"?
If it's so, it'd be naturally like that Kimika has been in silence for a while maybe because of the shock Mamiya gave her, and she is now going to strike back to him. But it seems it's no the case.
It seems the conversation was held by Kimika and Mamiya, and maybe she "recovered quickly" from the shock from that both knife and gun were taken from Mamiya and he has no intention to give them back to her (because it's the compensation).
>To be honest, I am also not quite confident about my explanation as to what that 素早く回復した means..

thank you. the event of her losing her weapons happened a while back, so it couldn't be that. I won't worry about it too much. And I guess this might be a stretch, but i wonder if it meant that she started to get angry again...
>It seems the conversation was held by Kimika and Mamiya
yes. the narrator (third character) was outside this convo.
