Because Hispanic + white is the most common interracial pairing, and by the second generation the kids will already pass as white visually. In fact Hispanic + white hardly counts as interracial as it is, which is why all you hear about ever being complained about is Asian + white and obviously black + white.

And then Hispanic orgin yes or no. So pretty much if your mestizo chances are you will pick white (Hispanic)

My in-laws had no idea they were native at all, despite the fact that they had a spanish-speaking 1st generation mexican mom. Every mexican who "makes it" in america tells their kids "you are Spanish, not Mexican" and tells them they're descended from Spanish royalty. Literally every Mexican says they had a rich family in Spain 10 generations removed. It's funny. They were all shocked by the genetics test that said they were all about 17% native
