Depends. David Production did an excellent job in adapting Part 5 into an anime. It is superior to source material which lacked some elements or had some things unexplained (how King Crimson worked exactly etc.).
I'm quite happy to see many JoJokes from anime, but I can agree that some people exaggerate some Parts. I liked Part 7, but in terms of the plot in example it was not a masterpiece (still enjoyable and interesting lecture though).
