Bit of everything. Its a grimy stressful job with horrid hours, they also have a very strong union. I think pretty much everyone here wishes the tube was totally automated, but its not feasible because there aren't safety barriers down in the ancient stations. The drivers are mainly there in case someone goes on the tracks etc

Don't know where you're getting 80 grand from. The base salary for a tube driver is £55,000, plus benefits. Still ridiculously high for a job in which you just sit on your arse all day and press buttons, but hey, that's where strong unionisation gets you. Fair play to the fuckers.

They also work like 20 hours a week for that stupid amount of money and jobs are given as presents by the higher-ups, this is what i used to pay 136£/month on only zone 1/2. I hate this place
