from mar7 to jun 5 the UK recorded, officially 51,804 deaths due to covid19. however, when we compare it to the same period last year we see that there were also an extra 12,729 deaths on top of the covid deaths. how do we account for this if these were not covid19 related?
in the US, 70,266 deaths were covid19 officially, but again, the excess deaths compared to last year is 26,986.

Noting an extra 29000+ people died this year compared to last year tell you very little.
If you want to justify a societal change this large, you have to know the death rate. Which is done by cross examining the know cases and confirmed deaths from Covid. So even the motorcyle accident victims being counted as your extra 29,000 hasnt produced enough results to explain this much change.
