Politics are about irrelevant general shit everyone wants to talk about, nobody is talking about stuff that would stroke people against their feathers like how the internet badly influences people or how individualism has such a low barrier of entry that makes every person insignificant and nullifies achievement. There should be limits to freedom in order to liberate people from nihilism. I have voiced this many times over, coming from someone who feels guilty for what he has seen and who has a smutty conscience I can't stress enough that we need a thorough visible bureaucratic hand to guide us back to the path of light where people instinctively know what is good and bad instead of arguing over the smallest fucking inkling.
This is the cost of introducing relativism into your society. Good luck. It's torn the U.S apart.
Colton Bailey
Relativism is bullshit. Ofcourse nothing has inherent meaning. We must shape it for ourselves. Cast judgement in a consistent and fair manner but be firm and unrelenting.
It seems everyone has interpreted it as "fuck ass in your room as long as it doesn't harm me" but it does since when you go outside you're talking to an assfucker and not a clean person. The same people who are mortified by pedos, btw, as though that isn't just one of many fetishes, many others more depraved are seen as tolerable human behaviour.
I want to read Nietzsche this autumn to find out if he advocates for sodomy behind closed curtains. Somehow I doubt that.

You are completely correct. A sin that goes unseen is a sin regardless. What you do in private is indicative of who you are.

The problem of evil is that those farthest away from the crime usually bear most responsibility. During the Holocaust, even the SS only went as far as commanding sicko or criminal soldiers and Jewish camp slaves to execute the deportees. The real responsibility didn't lie with Eichmann, Himmler or even Hitler. It was the Germans who came bearing excuses about how they didn't know what was happening but wouldn't utter 'mea culpa' to save their hides.
It's dehumanised people like anons on Zig Forums who grow the most extreme political stances because of our regular contact with absolute depravity. The hypocrisy of good citizens is boundless and far.

Ya I probably will, I acknowledge I'm young and my political opinions will probably change to be honest I've been shifting towards more of a capitalist standpoint, but my hatred for America probably won't change considering they sponsored the coup that destroyed my country. The inherent meaning you shape for yourselves is a cope, and death makes it ultimately meaningless. People should be encouraged to find meaning but should always remember it's useless in the end. It's cool that you chased your dream, I would've done a philosophy major if I had the balls.

Read Hesse. There is not one meaning in this world. Asceticism is bad because it's endless self-punishment for attaining social status within your particular school of thought whose regimens you adopt. Materialism is bad because it fosters sinful thinking and dehumanises people. The best way is to find a way to strike a balance in your life according to your own will. He achieved this by living a frugal yet sufficient lifestyle in nature with a friend diligently carrying out a humble duty.
Perhaps another person will find the same as a hikkikomori or gay pornstar doing pictures with horses and dogs. I doubt that, though.
Everyone should read philosophy to be able to see through the eyes of what those discontent with the status quo see. I am 18 and spend my 20s reading from the Greeks to the French and so should you.

GLT and YKK are both O. K. adaptations of great manga which is why I never admit them in fav anime lists. Though all three of my listings are manga...

>There is not one meaning in this world. Yes I said that in my post. >Asceticism is bad because it's endless self-punishment for attaining social status within your particular school of thought whose regimens you adopt. I'm not an Ascetic nor do I claim to be one. >Materialism is bad because it fosters sinful thinking and dehumanises people. I literally called myself a Mind-Body Dualist earlier in this thread, so no I'm not a materialist either, I don't even know why you would bring this up. >Everyone should read philosophy to be able to see through the eyes of what those discontent with the status quo see. I am 18 and spend my 20s reading from the Greeks to the French and so should you. What makes you think I don't read philosophy? I literally claimed to hold philosophical positions, how could I ever adhere to these positions without reading the works behind them, also this line is incredibly cringe.
Brody Lewis
Oh nevermind now I know you're a fucking retard, that explains why you went into a literal dialogue tree about meaning.
