Indians don't need soft power beyond our food and our movies, which people surprisingly watch all over the world. Even without us trying, hippies in the west and East Asia do yoga and shit. The prime ministers of Ireland (Leo Varadkar) and Portugal (Antonio Costa), Home Secretary in the UK (Priti Patel), former governors of South Carolina (Nikki Haley) and Louisiana (Bobby Jindal), and many important members of US Congress are all Indian. Even without trying, we outearn everybody else (including East Asians) wherever we go and are starting to accrue massive political power within our community in the West in just a decade. Can't say the same for Takeshi and Chang in the East.
