>Justice has ruled: Milka does not have the right to sell square format chocolate bars, a feature exclusively reserved for its German competitor Ritter Sport. The brand created in Switzerland had been trying for ten years to end this monopoly.
>The Federal Court in Karlsruhe, Germany’s highest court, ruled on the dispute on Thursday. In the final instance, the judges considered that the square shape of the tablets was directly associated with Ritter Sport.

Guess why multinationals all file frivolous patent and IP lawsuits in Germany. The big problem in EU is that these national-level rulings have EU-wide effect unless it's appealed to the EU Court but France, Italy, and others don't have a say on retarded German IP laws which were written by lawyers from Siemens and Daimler-Benz.

>A sad day for Germans >Milka is the better brand
It is, but I don't see any benefit to it being in a square shape. That was literally just done to visually be associated with Ritter Sport.

What would happen if someone traveled to Europe with another square chocolate? Would it be seized at the airport?
