Most self declared German Americans are definitely less german than mexicans are spanish, but German Americans came straight from Germany, while Mexican Americans came from Mexico, a country with a separate identity from Spain

I live in the most touristic town in spain, which is the number 1 travel destination country in europe. I could almost go to Ibiza just by swimming. I see thousands and thousands of different people every year and i can assure you not a single sudaca can pass for spaniard no matter what. I can tell someone is not spaniard from a mile away

That's the problem, they look spanish, but their upbringing was not spanish, it was south american, so you can't exactly say they have bad or good spanish qualities.
