Grits are damn good.

Grits are okay

What state are you from?

I fucking hate grits, they're so beady and taste like nothing.

I've only been to the South once, it was hell - i havent a clue how anyone could willingly live there

t. nj fag

>all that butter
Imagine how much this country's average life expectancy would go up if southerners didn't eat so unhealthily

we have the same thing here though, exept its with rice instead of corn though.

Michigan

Grits is gross. The south has much better food than grits. My friend went to prison for 4 months and grits was what they had for breakfast so its literal prison food.

For me, it's sweet cornbread.

There are many places where I'd treat this as a valid criticism, New Jersey is not one of them

You have to put Louisiana hot sauce in them.

They're supposed to taste simple. Eat it with bacon and toast if you want, or if you're a fag put cheese in it.

Yeah whenever I go to the south the level of fatties including my step siblings is horrible. Morbidly obese in the Northeast is like a few extra lbs down there. Sweet tea is also grabage, its sugar water with a hint of tea.

>butter
>unhealthy

Congrats on butter porridge, wtf is wrong with Americans?

butter is heavily salted here

Corn industry is making you fat.

grits and black eyed peas suck. Gimme cornbread anyday of the week
t. granny is from arkansas.

based.
They're like potatoes, you add a bunch of stuff to it.

>corn
dude...

Yes that is true too. Also corn destroys the land.

You can put hot sauce in anything. Congratulations, you now have hot sauce mush.

Mr. cornflakes took away your foreskins and made you fatties

In moderation it's fine, not when you eat hundreds of grams of it a day.

This Fin is the smartest person in this thread.

hominy > grits

I wouldnt be concerend about butter in the US but sugars. HFCS is practically everywhere

Are grits the same thing as cream of wheat? I haven't had either in over 15 years, but I remember them being similar.

brehs i could go for some fried okra, creamed corn, butter beans, some greens and a slice of peach pie
