Does American knows where their ancestor come from?
Does American care about their original country where ancestor came from?
Does American knows where their ancestor come from?
no
As far as I am concerned I am an American and I could give a fuck about faggots in Europe.
No
No
My parents come Taiwan in 1985. I don't know anything beyond that, nor do I care
*came from Taiwan
America has a lot to offer in the political theater but almost nothing culturally. Therefore people will grab onto cultural aspects of their country of ancestry (food, clothing, music, holidays) but not pay the slightest bit of attention to their current status
if the circumstances of the ancestor's migration aren't clear (due to war, famine, slavery and other hardships) then neither is the record of the family tree. so many Americans really do feel like they have nothing in terms of ancestry.
it depends
some people's family have been here for four hundred years and others have been here for a hundred. some people feel more connected to their american ancestors on the frontier than to any old world relatives.
big black cock
Half of the threads here are mutts sperging out about genetics and their ancestry. Take a wild guess
I've been thought all white American is ex-british people.
but it seems German American is also so many.
How many here see themselves as German Americans?
Yes, we actually have good written records and we weren't firebombed in WW2.
Do you mean do we care about the current state of the countries our ancestors came from? A little but mostly were focused on America. If we have relatives still living there then we care more.
i doubt you could get anyone to admit such an embarassing thing.
I have German ancestry but I also have British, Irish and Polish. I have Brotosh ancestors who came here over 400 years. So I suppose technically I'm German-American but I'm also other things and to me I'm just an American with some German ancestors. We are still in contact with relatives in Germany. They visit us and we visit them plus emails and phone calls.
My parents came from Taiwan around early 1990s
Most Americans have ancestors from various places
this map is misleading. most of those german counties are sparsely populated.
I actually posted it as bait.
Just to say: If your crisumcides you're not German
Sorry for that.
I have one parent from Bremen and one from Bonn (actually Meckenheim but we say Bonn) and if I ever tell this to anyone no one gives a fuck. It's just not hip or cool to be German. It's not even fun to visit those cities because there's no redeeming quality it's just worse than our suburb in every single way. If we were from Berlin it would be cooler for the alternative culture, or maybe Hamburg towards the sea has nicer suburbs than ours, but it's still quite boring.
I have ancestors on both sides that came from Germany in the 19th century.
>nor do I care
;_;
Lol my family thought they where Portuguese and british
Test shows literal pure PONTIC BVLL dna
my own brother vehemently denies it to this day like this hurt his little Zig Forums 8koon feels
If it's any consolation we had a group of Taiwan kids at my school and they even made a Taiwan club and were the best basketballers in our county. All tall as well.
Cool. I hope you at least follow what your politicians do regarding Taiwan. Lately passed many bills. Very nice.
你是英文老師嗎?
No.
just imagine, germany doesn't start WW2, and as a result, americans in that time don't supress the german language in their country.
I wonder how the US would look now if that were the case, maybe we would actually have a good amount of people proud of their german heritage today.
dios mio...
how much of a mutt are you?
What is Taiwanese military service like?
