Americans fear and get confused by this

Every yank I've known learned manual from driving their dad's pickup truck on their farm or something

>americans think this is a buttplug.

americans think?

>weekly thread of mental boomers thinking it's cool to use outdated tech

why would you even learn to drive these days? Especially manual, in a few years its going to be illegal for humans to drive either way and we'll have autos

the fuck is that? i don't even have to steer my tesla

Never drove an automatic car. Doesn't it feel a bit dangerous the first few times? Like you are not in control of the car and an emergency braking may not go as planned?

they are alright but manual is better for snowy streets, especially in crowded city when you have to get creative

Once you had an automatic car with a cruise control and shit you never want to go back to manual.

happy for euros that the tech has gotten so inexpensive you all can afford one now

It's not about the cost. They've been affordable for a long time. Some people just are autistic boomers who prefer manual because automatic are gay. Or they have had bad experiences with older cars. Back in the days automatic was indeed shit. They don't know how much they have advanced

It’s called a stick shift and they separate the alphas and the betas here

No, only issue is instinctively pushing brake because you think it's clutch pedal.
But that's only for people like me who rape clutch pedal.

The obviously ideal method for your average person is to learn with a manual car but drive an automatic. Good skill to have

Only women, gays/trans or bad drivers who got rekt in driving school drive automatic. So the flag checks out.

People who actually drive premium cars*

This is the same low iq take poor retards here have. Hilarious to see that some things are the same no matter the country or culture

t. not him

Yeah the brand new automatics feel a bit safer these days. E.g. they don't just start rolling forward if its in drive like the old ones and some other safety features which I can't really remember because I havent driven one in a long time

Well I drive 600-800km per week. What am I looking for in my car is the comfort

its only scary if you accidentaly clutch it, you dont do that many times before you learn
>you are not in control of the car
huh? if anything you are more in control of the car, emergency braking is the same anyway and gear shifts is just a little blip on the throttle to make it do as you want, no spilling the beer or putting down the joint to shift gears. every auto i have driven did exactly as i wanted once i got used to them after a few minutes drive.

no no no, you don't get it, real high T men drive an 80s shitbucket soviet car on manual
all your gay ass electronic shit is for women

unfortunately I learned to drive on 4 speed standard

what standard? usa or rest of the world standard?

Automatic just feels like you're missing part of the experience of driving t b h you might just as well call an uber

>German invents car
>French invent stickshift
>Canada invents automatic
>Brits invented the train
Damnit, Americans were meant to travel by plane. This country's too got damn big for cars.

Who cares.

99% of Japs drive auto and we don't make threads for them.

rest of the world I assume
my dad called it standard anyways and it stuck

Because only weebs care about japs

>be Mazda, VW or Great wall
>hurr lets put reverse where 1st should be

FUCK YOU

it is the exact same as far as braking down u pleb
autos are fine just less fun for most people
also Americans have fuckhuge traffic jams cause they are stupid in regards to road system so most of them don't want to deal with holding 2 pedals while creeping

kek based

My German gf says she'll never go back to manual. You Euros have been cucked by the automatic BVLL.

euros proud of driving manuals reminds me of viets and philipinos bragging about knowing how to drive a scooter. yes, we know you have to drive shitboxes, but why boast about it
