I rolled a random country and got Yemen. Thus, today we're going to try cooking some Yemeni dishes. For the first course we are going to cook red lentil soup, and for dessert - Mahalabia, something like a milk pudding. I also wanted to cook chicken wity zucchinis, but forgot to buy chicken.

Now add 3 tablespoons of mill and mix well. I'm not sure if this is how it is supposed to look.

The story of my life.

I mean who tf said muhalabia is yemeni lol
Yemenis are bedouins who only eat rice and goat meat,
Btw the muhalabia not gonna be good if you're making it for the first time

On medium heat bring 2 cups of milk to almost a boil. Stir.
I'll bake waffles tomorrow. And maybe cook the chicken dish if I get my hands on the chicken.

is this for the pudding?

user, when did you start making these? I think I was there when you made the first of these threads and I suddenly just feel nostalgia.

When it's hot and foamy, add the sugar-starch mixture and keep stirring until it thickens up.
We all have to start somewhere.
Yes. I am starting with the pudding, because it has to stay in the refrigerator for 2-4 hours.

When it thickens up, add some vanilla, mix well, and pour it into the serving dish. Place it into the refrigerator for 2-4 hours.
I think I made the first one more than a year ago.

They took this from us

For the soup we will need 3/4 cups of red lentils. I absolutely love lentil, but I have only used green lentil before. Red lentil seems to be finer. I wonder if it tastes differently too.
No idea.

The recipe says to cook 1/2 of chopped onion and a pinch of cumin seeds in 3 tablespoons of oil until the onion is brown.

Life in Russia that bad?

I liked this thread. How did they taste OP?

Thanks. It's not done yet, I'm waiting. But it smells good.

Do you do this weekly?

I used to do it every two weeks when I started, but then slowed down due to being busy. Now I do it whenever I feel like it.
