How is learning a foreign language cultural appropriation? I am not appropriating anything; by learning German, I do not claim that Croats invented that language. I am not, by way of studying it, claiming it to be anything other than the language that Germans speak, and which is the state language of Germany. That is why it is called a foreign language.

Spanish 4channers just embraced the meme a long time ago. The average spaniard does not even know that americans are this obsessed with race, nor are they familiar with america besides some of their music and movies. Spain is not very americanized, I would even say that we have closer ties to the UK than the USA.
