the angles only settled the northern lothians and information shows language spread south from there, but that language was later removed in the twelfth century.
>If anything an imbalance in Gaelic influence relative to ancestry is only another black mark on English influence in Scotland.
what is that meaning?

literally can't say the words Irish or Ireland without putting on a faux-Irish accent

You WILL accept American tourists
You WILL accept the coronavirus they have

here is the story as shown through the etymologies, documents and placenames.

.david I takes power
.to try and get more power into scotland he allows normans to make the first towns in scotland and rule them
.the normans bring their serfs with them which are mostly anglo-danes or northumbrians, a large number of norwegians and gaelic speakers also comes into them
.these towns have much power over the regions of scotland now since they start the first industry
.the english language spreads out of these towns
the heavy gaelic influence is seen especially in the north east of scotland showing that it was gaelic speakers switching not gaelic speakers being removed

You will:
>You WILL "speak English" for your whole life or longer
>You WILL embrace English culture

BASED

How would you feel about Ireland being in a loose union with neighbouring countries if the EU didn't exist and the current UK was divided into more equally sized countries? Like Ireland/Scotland/Wales/Northumbria/Mercia/Wessex in a federation, hypothetically.

In other words perhaps, is opposition to the UK mainly because England/London have disproportionate influence and bad history in Ireland?

I still wouldn't like it

We need to build the bridges.
