i have a job interview in a few days and i've been studying so fucking much and now my head hurts
I have a job interview in a few days and i've been studying so fucking much and now my head hurts
>studying for a job interview
Might aswell not go then
you can do it user! have a rest for a few minutes and then keep going! go!
I desperately need to get a better job but I’ve already bounced around from place to place so much in the last couple years that I just can’t bring myself to take up the initiative to apply and go through interviewing again
This is america, if they dont get the job they gonna be homeless
You mean you've never studied for a job interview ? Your interview skills must be shit
can't wait for your hired thread user
what are you applying for bro
>You mean you've never studied for a job interview ? Your interview skills must be shit
Retard, you go up to the person hiring, look them in the eye, firm handshake and say: Hello sir, i wish to work here.
I have an exam in 15 days but tomorrow is a Supreme Court hearing to postpone it because of COVID and I can’t sleep tonight.
Keep studying brother. I believe in you
this but unironically
What the fuck is there to study? You spend maybe 30 minutes reading a brief history of the company and some basic facts about what they make/do at that site. You either are qualified for the role based off your experience or you aren't.
hope they dont postpone it hahahah you had 3 months to prepare
it's a c++ programming job
i'm decently good with c++ but there are still a lot of things i don't know, so i've been studying a lot. right now i'm learning x86 assembly language.
i'm actually not too worried about the interview itself. i've taken a lot of acting and improv classes, so i'm pretty good at talking to people. i'm just hoping they don't ask me too many technical questions.
lmao
If it's an engineering/software position they unironically expect you to know how to do all sorts of mathy puzzles during the interview, and you need to study for those
> but there are still a lot of things i don't know, so i've been studying a lot
I know how that feels. I still feel like I'm using smart pointers wrong but my programs have been working so far so who knows.
> x86 assembly language.
Wow do you really need to? Try not to study too much and focus on using higher level languages like C++, because if you ever need to know x86 ASM, won't you be taught during training?
Good Luck. I'd recommend Nagoor babu sir's videos if it was a java interview.
I literally am an engineer. You don't just forget how to do math if you use it every day.
I was unprepared for the penis inspection at my last job interview and didn't get the job because of it.
Two persons X and Y have been asked to show that a certain problem p is NP-complete. X shows a polynomial time reduction from the 3-SAT problem to p and Y shows a polynomial time reduction from p to 3-SAT. From these reduction it can be inferred that
(A) π is NP-complete
(B) π is NP-hard but not NP-complete
(C) π is in NP but not NP-complete
(D) π is neither NP-hard nor in NP
Lmao you Americans are truly cucked by your corporate overlords. I got my programming job by just showing up and not being a complete retard.
this would have been a better OP
>Wow do you really need to?
On the job posting, it said that knowledge of x86 assembly language was preferred but not required. I figured that if I could just learn some basics, I could maybe make myself stand out a bit.
Not like it matters, though. I'm sure the job will just end up going to the hiring manager's nephew, or some foreigner who will work for half the salary.
It's more of a software developer thing. Yes, but they expect you to use optimal techniques, and come up with an optimal solution which requires you to study. This is how modern software development interviews are.
Pic related is an example of such a question asked
He's just a retard. If he does manage to get hired, he'll have fooled his employer because apparently he can't solve problems unless he crams before hand.
HAHA, programming is such a shit career, imho, have to keep fucking studying all your fucking life to keep your job.
ha
i doubt they do that at spotiy or ericson
They pay enough money for it to be worth the trouble
programming is also boring as fuck
how could someone be okay with doing that for the rest of their lives?
They ask the same questions at Spotify
it's like the accounting of the 21st century, boring but pays well, but you still won't get rich
