Say that to Napoleon

hes dead

literally who

bros just look at us
ugh ugh ugh

If it was just a 1v1 between Germany and Russia then the war would most likely drag out 3-4 years and Germany would lose anyway unless by some miracle they manage to conquer everything until the Urals.

Germany could've never won, not even if Hitler had made better decisions and certainly not with allies like Italy. Why the Nazis spend so much effort to invade and occupy the Balkans and Greece is beyond me.

Because they expected Britain to eventually surrender, or accept one of hitler's peace treaties, and also did not expect the US to join. If those two things had gone their way then they would've been able to defeat the USSR.

>supporting rape
>calling others subhumans

The campaign in Russia started going downhill before US entry, at a time when Germany was devoting minimal resources to fighting Britain. The Soviets won the war; the US just accelerated the process.

Things went very well, then Hitler and the German high command spent almost all of August 1941 discussing their next move. Incredible waste of precious time.
Then, the autumn rains dissolved the dirt roads into mud (as happens every time, something the Germans knew or should have known). The tanks and mech infantry could go on being tracked, but the fuel trucks could not being wheeled. The captured railroads couldn't be used quickly as the width was different and the rails had to be replaced. Supply at sea wasn't possible in the south since the Soviets had a navy and the Axis none that could reach (except a few U-boots that were sent overland to Romania and a few Bulgarian ships), Turkey being neutral.
This means they hadn't reached anything truly vital went winter struck (and they hadn't prepared for winter warfare, either, something they should have read from Napoleon).
After that, the USSR had had time to mobilize its enormous manpower (Hadler wrote than they expected 22 Soviet divisions; by end of 1941 they already had encountered 320).
After that it was over, only a matter of time before they were rolled back to Berlin - hopelessly outnumbered, and each year their qualitative advantage dwindled as veterans died while Soviets learnt by experience.

This is how the German generals described the affair, in books like "other side of the hill".

Not really, the war would have ended after berlin fall and some few pockets
Half a year-year is more realistic, no one would fight 3-4 years more

Correct me if Im wrong but didn't during the beginning of the Germany, Soviet conflict Stalin just resigned himself to depression and defeat for a little while...
Germany dropped the ball quite bad allowong the USSR to jump back in which they almost literally threw everything they physically could at Germany.

If Hitler didn't interfere with High Command and the Wehrmacht was given permission to reorganise and form a defensive line, they might have been able to bleed the Soviets dry and dominate the Eastern Front and strike a peace deal with the US.

>Muh mud
They were just outsmarted and defeated by people they called subhuman, rain and mud have zero shit to do with it but it's a nice excuse to make when you're a nazi

You're absolutely fucking delusional , they did form a defensive line

Stalin retreated to some far off resort, and when the Politburo came was melancholy and asked what they came for. He thought they had come to deliver him to the Germans and surrender. It's the equivalent to accidentally losing your queen in a chess game and immediately going over the resign button with your cursor before spotting a checkmate sequence.

Hitler constantly replaced commanders and had a retarded stronghold policy.
Manstein was the best card the Germans had. When the Soviet took Berlin, they were down to their last reserves. If Hitler wasn't the central power in Germany, perhaps the Jews could've avoided destruction and the German Army might have stood against the Soviet.

The first months were Germany doing what it wanted, yes. Including, taking millions of prisoners. But the USSR could afford this (something the Germans didn't know, apparently).
The problem was, Germany did not know what it wanted, exactly. And since the critical resource was time, this spelt sure defeat.
Mind you, given the disparity in resources and manpower, I think that even a decided advance unimpeded by the bad road condition wouldn't have gotten them far enough to get a victory.
Could they even have held the USSR, if they had conquered it? there were partisans everywhere and it's huge... perhaps they would have had "Vietnam war, only 1000 times bigger".

Germans lost the moment they entered USSR, it's easy to blame le hitler for the failure of operation development by whole German high command. Germany just didn't have the logistical, technological and manpower capabilities to rival USSR, relied on element of surprise and lost the moment they lost numerical advantage. There's no way "if hitler had listened his generals" would have fixed the absolute impotence and inflexibility of german war machine. It's that simple.

The Soviet were in even worse condition. The reason you eventually tipped the scale is Stalingrad and western funds. The former being a result of Hitler's vanity and myopic leadership. The Barbarossa Offensive could've gone a million different ways. To say that the Germans had no chance whatsoever is insane.

Germany automatically lost because they let the French Empire alone (cyan & red). Which half of it (red) turned against it right after the Armistice (Felix Éboué)
Which gave room for DeGaulle to contact Éboué to make him rebel against Vichy and join him
Which he did,
Which allowed DeGaulle to have a territory to send the French from Dunkerque ally with African troops & join UK
Which allowed them then USA joining in 1941 to take the rest of the French empire in 1942 (Opération Torch) and thus preventing Axis to secure the mediterranea and thus killing any protection from a southern invasion
Which logically happened (Italy invaded in 1943, surrendering & switching side & Corse liberated)
Which could provide a double front war on the Western Front by attacking from Italy/southern France & trying to land by the channel
Which happened (Opération Overlord & Anvil)
Which inevitably overwhelmed Germany, liberated France,
Which France, as one again, with his empire, combined to the British Empire and USA drastically outnumbered Germany
Which result to Germany getting pushed back to Berlin

Butterfly effect at its finest.
Moral of story, You should have aimed for the blacks kek.

>The Soviet were in even worse condition
That's why they were able to completely decimate germans in counteroffensive.
Soviet military in 1942 was better than it was in 1941, for Wehrmacht it was the other way around.
Stalingrad catastrophe is already way past the moment Soviets won the war.
Shut up worthless nigger, i wish soviet union didn't push past it borders so you faggots had to be cucks for germans for 10 more years.

t. country that became cucks for Germans, Austro-Hungarians AND Poles after WW1

This. The German plans

- expected 22 divisions (wtf?) not 400+
- didn't know about good Soviet tanks, despite the Japanese having encountered them in 1939 in Mongolia
- didn't care about them not being able to use the rail network without having to rebuild
- didn't care about the well-known uselessness of Russian roads a good part of the year (travelers had described this in books)
- made no preparation for winter warfare

True to his ideology, Hitler believed an Aryan could defeat any number of Slavs.
The British had a similar view of the Japanese (a well-bred gentleman can defeat any number of yellow midgets), and this led to Malaysia, Singapore, Hong Kong where they ended up surrendering to smaller forces despite defending possessions they had fortified for years.
I'm sure Zig Forums has a lot of similar opinions. So let's hope our armies won't recruit top brass from Zig Forums.
