It's a made up/fake region created by a retarded leftie president (hollande) to keep some region in France who share his political board (thankuly his leftie party was killed by Macaron). This abomination of a region is the fusion of two totaly different old region of France, Auvergne wich is a old occitan speaking, rural region filled with mountains and Rhone-Alpe a franco-provencale urban and densily populated area with some ok city like Lyon, Briancon and industrial hellhole like St Etienne.

Also I forgot Savoie who became a region of France really late in our history (1860's). I never been here, it's also a really montainous region with many cheese, Park and ski station Chambery seems nice.
