I dash down this desolate but clearly important street. Is it early morning, that small part of time before dawn where even the most bustling boulevards are hauntingly empty?
I see no one. The street reeks. It's dirty. The road is barely paved, perhaps not since the times of Cortes. It's the wee hours of the morning but it's warmer than I've ever felt in England. Humid too. Where the fuck am I? I sit in place, hoping that when the shops open up, I can try and have a Spanglish conversation to get my way home. Fuck, I have no idea. I'm still in my damn pyjamas. I sit, and its a dirty pool of water. Gross. I close my eyes. A monkey climbs down and sits on my face. I remain frozen in stasis, in terror.
