English is just incompatible with japanese grammar I started studying japanese in english but more and more things started popping up that were like "we can't express this in english, so please just imagine that it's this way" Now that I've switched to russian I've got so many different topics clarified for myself, for example: が vs は、なあ (sentence ending)、~ちゃう (including its future tense)、usage of verbs as nouns through their masu stem、こと vs もの、adjectives vs adjectival nouns, and some other topics Not saying it'd be impossible to do it with english but it was sooo much easier because russian has much better explanations and even analogies to these tricky topics
English really is a piece of shit language. I was disappointed in learning it after I realised that most natives are fucking retards, but now it also proves useless in learning something new, despite the volume of study material being so much larger

Yeah I thought that Russian is ugly, because it's fundamentally very different from Polish, very "Asian" grammatically. But after I started learning Japanese, I noticed that Russian works similar in some regards and now I think that it's a beautiful language.

I think it's harder for Poles, because we're not used to Cyrylic alphabet and we hear it less clearly than you (according to stats) do Polish. But it's definitely not super difficult, because we're Slavs
