Looks like a good trip
Thanks :)
Will the UK ever reopen the borders to Americans tho?
Essex on the map
Russia
somerset is underrated
>not going to Wales or Scotland
I’m planning on doing more of the West Country, and maybe do Wales too, in another trip.
I've heard Ipswich is an arse, Colchester is supposed to be alright I think, there's a castle, go there instead of Ipswich.
t.Norwich
Stunning scenario, perfect for a BLACKED film.
>do Wales too
hope you like the countryside
Cardiff is alright, has a good museum
>Brighton
Don't bother mate, go to Hastings instead
Nice, have fun
Cardiff is a dump, it has history and nice arcades but apart from that it's just a grotty shithole
and why on Earth are you going to Bexhill? It's just 60s flats full of retired people
Same for Scotland
Seconding this, went to Colchester and its quaint enough to drive through. Ipswich is just a big port. Also don't get offended but Norwich isn't all that either for a visitor, just has a castle like any other medium sized city
Yeah I agree it's got nice parts and history but nothing worth going out of your way to visit. He'd probably like seaside towns like Cromer and Sheringham, and Southwold in Suffolk though.
I’m just driving through Ipswich, really in that area for Sutton Hoo and Framingham Castle
Thanks :)
Going to both, I’m gay btw
Thank you
That is supposed to represent my going to Lewes, Battle, Hastings, and Rye
>going to Lewes, Battle, Hastings and Rye
Ah fair enough, based, even. Make sure to buy some whelks when youre in the old seaside town, proper lush them
Do you eat them raw or cooked?
What are the detours near Peterborough?
That’s just an arrow to indicate direction of the trip. I may decide to stop in Ely however.
i think they're raw, there are scores of seafood bars by the old town who sell them by the cup/half cup, whack some vinegar and pepper on those beauties, phwoar i'm getting peckish just thinking about them
So you eat them like oysters? I like eating the oysters with the horseradish and everything.
>Ely
That's what I was guessing, Peterborough also has a nice Cathedral which I would recommend but other than that avoid it like the plague.
nah, they are already out the shell, they just spoon them into a cup for you and you're off
>York
Based
What kind of maniac is recommending cockles are you insane
Unless you're a fan of eating vaguely salty gritty lumps stick to the other seaside classics, peeled prawns, smoked mackerel, crab and rollmops
Ah I see
Thank you
If they’re not too expensive I could give them all a try
