British people literally don't understand flavour at all. The majority of them have never been to a restaurant. They are unadventurous in the kitchen and rely on extremely simple dishes made from pre-prepared ingredients like Ready Meals or Rustlers Burgers.

If you go to a British restaurant (basically just pubs they serve food because there is no native restaurant culture) it will be a few very bad and simple British dishes followed by many foreign dishes like curries, lasagna, paella, pizza, etc that is brought into the restaurant frozen and then reheated.
