Night time safety

Hey Zig Forums do you live in a place that you'd be comfortable walking alone at night? What about with headphones on? Post area name

I'll go first, yeah to both, in a city in NZ and people will say hello if you pass them

Depends on the neighborhood. "Comfortable" isn't the word I'd use, but I'd feel safe enough. Just maybe with a heightened sense of awareness. Definitely no headphones though.

Is there any risk of physical danger?

>t. Dunedin, NZ

No, it's unsafe. You risk getting robbed or beaten by gangs. I was once attacked by a gang of 8 people.

i don't fear going out at night
I am the reason why people are afraid to go outside at night

Sure. Strong-arm robberies aren't unheard of. I guess it depends on whether or not you look like an easy target. And again, the neighborhood is everything. Mine is fairly quiet and safe.

Yes.
Visby on the island of Gotland.
I have fallen asleep outside, against the city wall with a bottle of booze in one hand, my headphones on my head and my phone in the other hand several times.
Even had my wallet sticking out of my pocket.
No problems. I've been awaken a couple times by police who walked me home though.

I live in London which is mostly a safe place, a big city like that is going to have some dodgy places. I feel safe walking at night though someone once tried to rob me in front of my house at 7 PM but I live in Stratford so it's my own fault

I would find nobody, barely even cars if I went out at night because I live in a half countryside with a very old population (and this was even before corona)
cozy feels

Based island life. Is it a nice place to visit (during no corona)?

Yep, very popular tourist destination. There's ferries and cruise ships going from the mainland to Gotland every single day so it's not hard to reach either.
Plenty of good night life, restaurants, theaters and most of all - museums. This place is packed with history.

yeah I do it all the time
even the areas with crime, it's all gypsy-on-gypsy

I rarely leave my house especially by night, by when I was leaving, I had no problems.

But Krakow is a big city, so I guess it may not be safe if you are in the wrong place at the wrong time or if you just have no luck I think it could happen everywhere around the world.

But generally I would say it's safe.

Is Wembley a safe part of London?

ive been working nights for 3 years now and i bike to work and nothing remotely interesting has happened in those 3 years. netherlands is xtremely safe. maybe in some diverse city like amsterdam or rotterdam youd have some youths trying something but i doubt even that

fart fart fart fart fart fart fart fart fart fart fart fart fart fart fart fart fart

Mexico City is more dangerous at night than my smelly town, we lynch robbers here

You can walk alone at night everywhere here
One time two of my friends made a bet, whoever walks more in one day gets a free kebab from the loser. They walked all over the city, from morning until midnight, and recorded where they were walking
Could you do that in your country?

a pakistani girl that my sister used to work with got raped like 500 meters away from my house on a Friday night leaving her completely numb from neck down
i have been to paranoid to go out night since then

>left her numb from neck down
That must've been some good dick. Who would rape a paki though? They're smelly and ugly as fuck

give me visa, i'll protect you ;)

Literally just cross the border

Yeah, I often walk around my neighborhood while drinking some beer. Always made some interesting encounter

>Always made some interesting encounter

Wow, I thought Japan is the safest country on the world.

Interesting doesn't necessarily mean bad.

I often have interesting encounters and they're a part of why going out at night is so fun.

Sorry, I meant interesting like fun, I often met some people who were eager to talk, always gad a great time before going to bed

Sorry I didn't get the point

Yes, I wouldn't discuss it though as it's a slightly perfect town just far enough away from cities to be free of annoying problems and naturally beautiful, while close enough to locally have innumerable opportunities for economic activity.

No for both. If I go out in the morning, I need to leave my watch, my cellphone, and my wallet at home. Going out at night for a walk it's too risky. I don't go out after dark If I don't have my car.

This.
I often encounter some funny characters on the streets. Eventhough my city is small I still meet a fuckton of crazy people. They sometimes come and talk for hours but most of the time they just tell something crazy and give me a side-quest.

>give me a side-quest
like?

Not literally but the encounters often have a side-quest like feel in them.
